Queen Elizabeth Looks Like She’s Never Been Inside A Grocery Store Before

Suffice to say, the Queen probably doesn’t do a lot of her own grocery shopping.

But on Thursday, Her Majesty visited a Waitrose supermarket in Poundbury, a new development by Prince Charles, in the county of Dorset, England.

The Queen was joined by husband Prince Philip, the Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and together, the Royal Family watched the opening of a new district centre, Queen Mother Square. The Queen also unveiled a statue of the Queen Mum.
The royals also toured the supermarket, and it looked as if Queen Elizabeth was a bit out of her element as she wandered up and down the aisles of food, stopping at various points to look more closely at the products on the shelves. (According to People.com, she was “reportedly intrigued by the array of cheeses at the specialty cheese counter.”)

Although the Queen likely doesn’t drop by her local grocery store to stock up on food for the palace, not all the royals get their staff to do their shopping for them.

The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly does her own grocery shopping and has been spotted pushing her cart inside supermarkets several times.

Even the late Princess Diana, who was one of the most famous women in the world, was seen grocery shopping, just like a regular mom.
